They say that long term relationships take a lot of hard work. After 13 years of marriage and 15 years together I would say that is absolutely true.
I have always had a very realistic view on love and relationships and how they ebb and flow over time. At first it’s all romance and flowers and being together all the time. Then over the years things start to change, and your relationship changes. It’s not a bad thing, it’s just different. Sometimes things are great and sometimes not so much.
Kids, work, stress, finances, lack of time and sleep can all chip away at a relationships foundation and leave you burned out in the romance department and date night consists of ordering in pizza, watching a movie or a few episodes of your favourite series and falling asleep by 9pm.
So it’s no wonder that according to recent “statistics”, almost 46% of married couples cheat, and it’s hardly surprising. In fact, I did it last week while my hubby was out of town!
Yes, it’s true and i’m terribly ashamed and I didn’t mean for it to happen. I have been torn up inside ever since whether to confess my indiscretion, or just keep it a secret and pretend it never happened. But, eventually I will get found out so i’m going to have to be honest.
So dear husband, I am so sorry, but I watched 3 episodes of Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix Canada while you were out of town. I just couldn’t wait 3 whole days to watch another episode. I hope you can forgive me.
Have you ever cheated on your partner with Netflix? Or have they on you?
