Well Merry Christmas everyone! I know it’s just the EVE of the BIG day but I am headed off to the family cabin for a few days of
binge eating and drinking rest and relaxation with the boys and that means NO internet and NO phone, which are also good things, I think.
But what I do know is that my recycling bin at home is already full to the brim with holiday empties – beer bottles, wine bottles, cider cans and Christmas isn’t even over yet. Don’t get me started on New Year’s….
So what to do with all of those empty wine bottles that are bursting out from our already full recycling bins?
Call the local scout troop to come and do a bottle drive? Sure! But for the fully committed, there are also some fun and creative uses for them as well.
But lets be totally honest here….most of you who know me know that I don’t have a creative bone in my body, so I can NOT take any credit for any of the following crafts. They were carefully selected from an exhaustive google search this morning 🙂
Merry Christmas and happy holiday crafting y’all (all images borrowed with love from the Wine Wankers web site!)
- For the fully committed and heavy drinking family, try creating an entire Christmas tree from your wine empties!
2. A little less ambitious in size, but requires an equally large commitment to holiday drinking to accumulate enough corks…so cute!
3. A lovely idea for decorating the fireplace mantle next year! Better watch your head though!
4. Some kid friendly crafts that can be done with less cork-age! I might actually try the wreath idea next year!
