Four Quick and Easy Steps To A Healthier You!

I was going to first call this post “Five Easy Steps To A Healthier You!” but to be perfectly honest, who has time to go through 5 steps each and every day right?!

So, I decided to take the four things that I have really been focusing on thus far in 2015 (to great success!!) and share with y’all. Because let’s face it, if this lazy mom can do it, then so can you…..

  1. Get your zzzzzz’s!  Getting adequate sleep (7+ hours per night) can reduce stress, help with weight loss, make you more alert, boost your memory, make you look better and on and on and on. As hard as it is in our busy lives, just promise yourself that you will go to bed 15 mins earlier each night for 4+ nights in a row until you can reach that magical 7-8 hours!
  2. HIIT it! High Intensity Interval Training is a great way to get a super effective (and hard) workout in 20-30mins that can work your entire body (no gym required). There are tons of free videos and resources on the Interwebz that makes working out at home super easy. Check out one of my personal faves at Fitness Blender.
  3. Hydrate! I am chronically dehydrated. I swear if you pinched the skin on my hands at pretty much anytime it would stay snapped in “pinched” position instead of springing back. Not good. Not good at all. So in an effort to drink at least 8 cups of water a day my trainer bought me a lovely stainless steel water bottle (with built in straw) to tote about with me AND I have been using stevia sweetened water enhancers like Sweet Leaf Water Enhancement Drops.
  4. Take your vitamins! If you are anything like me and you absolutely HATE taking any sort of pill then you too probably struggle with getting your daily supply of vitamins and minerals. Amplify that problem by 10x for the kids who won’t eat anything unless it’s doused in sugar or liquified in some format. So I was so happy to have discovered Honibe Honey Gummies.     I always feel guilty about making my kids “healthier” with vitamins, by covering them in sugary-goo. Yay for ACTUALLY healthy vitamins!
