I am a major proponent of life long learning. But, when you have a family and a job and a wee bit of a life, it doesn’t leave a ton of time at the end of the day for keeping the knowledge tank on full.
And these days, my knowledge tank is running on fumes baby….fumes!
Even in my day job as a WordPress Developer (and I use that term loosely here) I am constantly stretching the limits of my current knowledge and/or outsourcing to those who actually know what the heck they are doing. For some more complex projects it just makes more financial and logistical sense to outsource, but sometimes I just really want to know what the heck it is that I am farming out.
Thirst for knowledge for sure…..
So, the other day, just when I was having one of those frustrating “WHY CAN’T I DO THIS” moments, I saw an ad for Udemy. In fact, I think the ad appeared in my FB feed and I was drawn immediately by the words “Become a Web Developer in Six Weeks!!”. And better yet, the course was on sale for a ridiculously low price AND it’s all done online and your own pace. Woot and woot!
Sadly, with March being a tad insane for having any free time I am already woefully behind on the course (but yay for self paced learning) I am planning on diving in head first with abandon this month. CSS and JS and PHP will soon be my b*tch and not vice versa!
What are some of the courses on your knowledge bucket list?
