Practice what you preach. Don’t talk to strangers. Don’t bet on racehorses. Respect your elders. Don’t smoke. Wear sunscreen. Do what you love and you won’t work a day in your life. It’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Be the change you wish to see in the world…..

I have lived a really great life so far. I have a great family, two healthy kids and I have been able to reach a lot of personal goals in my 40 something years here on earth. A life really lived and a life with no regrets, well mostly….

I am still afraid of failure and rejection. This is something that nearly paralyzed me during my competitive athlete years and almost prevented me from becoming a World Champion. It has held me back from saying the things I should have to certain people over the years, held me back from making hard decisions, and held me back from truly being successful in my career. If I do have some regrets in life, it’s because I didn’t have the guts to take some of these “shots”.

People, life is short and it is precious so go jump out of that plane, tell that person how you feel, pierce your nose, get a tattoo, make new friends, change your job. Do whatever you need to do to ensure a life of no regrets. I can’t promise everything will turn out hunky dory, but at least you tried.

We are all going to hit speed bumps on the road of life. To get through them, lean on those you love, learn a new hobby, get some exercise, try something new, visit new places – just keep moving even when all you want to do is curl up in a ball for awhile.

Hey, we all make mistakes. Sometimes really really big ones. big ones. But the best thing you can do is learn from those mistakes, admit you were wrong, say you are SORRY and move along.
