Ah Valentine’s Day.
Just another overly commercialized day to get us from our Christmas chocolate comas to our Easter ones without going into harsh sugar withdrawl.
It’s just another day to jack up the prices on flowers and candy and to make it impossible to go out to your fave restaurant because it it’s fully booked with reservations (even at Moxie’s? Come on!!!). It’s a day where we are supposed to be all lovey dovey with our partners even when there are dishes and laundry to be done and the house is a mess and you are PMSing like crazy and really just want to be left the f**k alone.
But my day wasn’t totally void of love. I had a great ride on my beloved bike this morning, then rushed to a sunny afternoon of soccer with my two handsome little dudes, then had a great “first date” with my new personal trainer Ashley who I know is going to rock my world in so many good ways in the months to come.
Tonight is frozen pizza, cheap wine and Netflix while curled up on the couch with my most favorite 6 and 8 year old. Maybe this v-day won’t be so bad after all?!
